Blood Orange Macarons

Easy to follow recipe for the best blood orange macarons ;)
- 29 g ground almonds
- 63 g icing sugar
- 36 g egg whites
- 18 g white granulated sugar
- zest of 1 blood orange
- orange food colouring - I used Sugarflair paste in apricot
- 1 cup icing sugar + enough blood orange juice to make a thick palette-knife-able icing paste

- For the dough
- 400 g strong white bread flour
- 7 g sachet of dried fast action yeast
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- zest of 1 orange
- zest of 1 lemon
- 250 ml semi-skimmed milk
- 100 g unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large free range egg
- oil for kneading
- For the filling
- 1.5 tightly packed cups of sultanas (or a mixture or currants, raisins and sultanas)
- 5 tbsp lemon juice
- 3 tbsp demerara sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 100 g mixed citrus peel
- 100 g glace cherries, chopped into quarters at least
- 1 handful flaked blanched almonds
Vanilla Bean Baked Donuts

A moist, delicious, healthy, chewy, vanilla bean baked donut recipe with raspberry icing and topped with glitter!
- For the vanilla bean baked donuts:
- 95 g self-raising flour
- 60 g granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 15 g unsalted butter melted
- 1 medium free range egg
- 50 g plain Greek yoghurt (I used the low fat version)
- 20 ml milk (I used semi-skimmed)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste
- For the raspberry icing:
- 5-7 (a toddlers handful) raspberries if using frozen use the larger amount, fresh the smaller amount
- 15 g seedless raspberry jam
- 15 ml milk (I used semi-skimmed)
- 110 g icing sugar (confectioners sugar)
- EDIBLE GLITTER to decorate!!
