"To cook the most delicious dishes you don't need to be a professional chef. You only need two elements: fresh ingredients and most important to cook from the heart and for the people you love!"

Hello If the Choux Fits, so tell us...

When did you begin your blog and what inspired you to start it?

I started my blog in March. I always enjoyed cooking and having lots of people home, spoiling them with treats. I am cooking everyday and I bake at least once a week. At the time I was obsessed with taking photos of food! I felt the need of communicating it with people that share the same interests. I just needed an element to differentiate a little bit and since my professional background is in fashion I decided to merge my two passions. I believed that it would be much more honest this way for my readers and maybe a bit more interesting.

In your wildest dreams, where is your blog going to take you as it develops?

I would love to own a little cozy fashionable cafe with freshly baked cakes and croissants. My little If the Choux Fits cafe where people from around London would come to taste what they see on the blog!

Are you active in the blogging community? Have you met any interesting people through your blog or has it brought you to new places?

I take part in food communities and share my recipes. I like to interact with people that share the same interests and learn from their experiences. I haven't met any other bloggers in person yet. However, I have written communication with some and I am always interested in new collaborations!

Do you have a secret weapon in the kitchen?

Not especially. I believe the secret for a successful recipe is to use fresh seasonal ingredients. I am becoming obsessed with ingredients from time to time though!

What would be your choice of dish or menu if you had to choose your "last meal ever"?!

Definitely Italian! Pizza, pasta and tiramisu.

What is your earliest memory involving food?

My grand mother spending a whole weekend cooking for a single dinner. We Greeks tend to exaggerate a little bit when it comes to food!

Do you know any Greek classics?

I cook most of the Greek classics but I think my specialty is pies, spanakopita, cheese pie and courgette pie. And I make my own pastry.

If you could be a contestant or guest on any cooking show what show would you choose?

I would only go to the Great British Bake-off. Just for the chance to play with all the equipment and utensils!

Which Gourmandize recipe would you recommend? (if none take your fancy add your own and share it with us!)

I am currently looking for chocolate recipes. I think the Ultimate Beetroot & Chocolate Cake will be a sumptuous moist chocolate cake.

Any last words or message for our readers?

To cook the most delicious dishes you don't need to be a professional chef. You only need two elements: fresh ingredients and most important to cook from the heart and for the people you love!
