A Kick At The Pantry DoorI've spent a large part of my adult life to date 'finding myself', and then eventually did - in my kitchen. Who'd have thought it hey!
I bake, I decorate cakes, I cook, and I play about with recipes. And then I blog about it. I hope that one day I can say that I make a living out of food in general, and cake specifically. Until then, I hope you will all join me on my little journey here.
My blog is called 'A Kick at the Pantry Door', after a phrase that my Mum and Dad used regularly when I was little. In context, Me: "What's for dinner?", Dad: "A kick at the pantry door". I've searched for the origins of the saying without finding any real conclusion, other than the odd mention on Sheffield based forums, however the basic meaning translates as "whatever we can make from whatever we have in the house".
