Ingredients

  • 8 0z/200 gr butter/sunflower spread
  • 8oz 200gr caster sugar or light brown sugar
  • 80z self raising flour and tsp baking flour sieved
  • 2 teaspoon gold blendexpresso goodcoffee in hot water made and cooled
  • 4 large FR eggs
  • small amount milk/warm water if mixture stiff
  • chopped walnuts in mixture if like keep half walnuts to decorate top
  • icing sugar 2 oz butter for butter icing and spoon coffee again

Preparation

Step 1

cram butter and sugar add eggs then flour with metal spoon carefully do not whip add walnuts milk water if needed coffee mix and baking powder
put in tin geased and floured

Step 2

bake in heated oven 170 electric/gas 4 for 45-60 till skewer put in comes out clean

Step 3

cool make butter icing with icing sugar butter warmed so soft and coffee mix few drops or milk to mix ice when cool and decorate with walnut halves
