Luxury Mince pies
Lovely rich mince pies with double shortcrust pastry for Christmas

Ingredients
- 350g ready to roll short crust pastry
- 1 jar luxury minced meat
- icing sugar for dusting

Step 1

Roll out the pastry to 1 cm. thickness. Use a round fluted pastry cutter and cut out 12 pastry rounds.
Step 2
Grease a 12 holes petty tin. Line each hole with a piece of cut out pastry. Place a large teaspoon of minced meat on each pastry.
Step 3
Roll out the rest of the excess pastry. Cut out 12 round pastry discs using a smaller round cutter. Moisten the edge of each disc and press on top of each mince pie. Cut each mince pie with 2 slits.
Step 4
Bake in the centre of the oven at Gas mark 6/200C for 20-25 minutes. remove from the oven. cool the mince pies on a wire rack
Step 5
Dust with icing sugar. Serve warm with cream or brandy butter.
