Organizing Company
The event is promoted by 750 Grams International at the registered head office, 8 Allée de l'innovation (022000 Soissons) and CIF 529 357 253 000 28.
Event Description
The Event, named "Paris Food Trip 2014", is an initiative of 750 grammes and 750 Grams International SAS. It is a non-profitable, private, informal event and aims to promote cultural exchange and understanding between European food bloggers through convivial culinary workshops in which to share their passion for cooking.
A cultural and gastronomic tour in the city of Paris will be organised for the participants.
A representative of each participating European country, including the United Kingdom and Ireland, will be invited to attend the event as a "Culinary Ambassador" of their country. The other participating countries include: France, Germany, Italy, Spain.
To be elected, the participants take part in an on-line challenge, to be nominated by 750 grammes and the jury of 750 grammes' Chefs to attend the event.
750 grammes reserves the right to invite the Culinary Ambassador of its choice to represent the United Kingdom and Ireland. Each participant becomes a Nominee and one participant only is selected per participating country, by 750 grammes. The selected Nominee will be chosen amoung the participants having the most shares on social networks.
Rules and Regulations
From here on the term Nominee will be used for any party having entered the challenge via the on-line form available on the Website and having recieved confirmation that their participation is valid.
The Nominee must agree to the conditions of these following regulations.
The Nominee must be a person of minimum 18 years, residing in the United Kingdom or Ireland at time of entry and the time of the Event and enrolled via the Paris Food Trip 2014 Entry Form (entries available from April 7, 2014 to May 14, 2014). Viability to enter involves that the Nominee share a valid link to their contribution expressing motivations to enter.
Motivation Contributions Terms
Valid contributions are one of the following: an article published on his or her culinary blog, website, Facebook page or Goolge + page, or a short, personal video posted on his or her YouTube channel. Through this media, the Nominee expresses his or her motivation to be invited to Paris for the event and actively take part in the Paris Food Trip 2014, as a "Culinary Ambassador " and representative of British and/or Irish cuisine. To express motivation, the partipant replies to the following questions: "Which dish would you choose to cook during the Pris Food Trip 2014 to represent Birtish and/or Irish cuisine and why?"
Requirements
To enter the Paris Food Trip 2014 challenge, and therefore become a Nominee, the entrant must be the personal author of a food blog or a website or a YouTube channel or a Facebook or Google + page dedicated to cooking and/or cuisine. The person must be of legal age and resident in the United Kingdom or Ireland.
The emplyees of 750 Grams International the company, may not participate as ambassadors, their unique role will be to be to guide and lead the Culinary Ambassadors for the duration of the event.
The entrants will only be considered valid Nominess if they are the author an article or video, published on their own food site or blog, YouTube channel or Facebook or Google + page, dedicated to food and cooking, containing their Motivation Contribution to be invited as Culinary Ambassador of the UK & Ireland for the weekend of the Paris Food Trip 2014 and who are enrolled through the Entry Form.
Enrollment Period
The enrollment period for entrants to become Nominees for the Paris Food Trip 2014 will begin April 7, 2014 and end May 19, 2014 at 00.00 hours GMT.
Nominee Registration Confirmation
Entries will be validated by the Gourmandize UK & Ireland team. A confirmation email will be sent to validate the entry.
If no confirmation email is received, your registration will not be considered valid, having not met the above requirements. In this latter case, an email to explain why your entry was declined will be sent by a member of staff.
Selection Criteria
The representative of the United Kingdom and Ireland cuisine for the duration of the weekend of the Paris Food Trip 2014, called "Culinary Ambassador» will be chosen at the discretion of the 750 grammes’ Chefs among the valid Nominees (having received a confirmation email of their registration). The Representative will be chosen among the Nominees with the most “Popularity”.
The term “Popularity” refers to the number of social shares on the following social networks: Facebook, Google+, Pinterest, Twitter, and secondly the number of votes received by the Nominee. The number of social shares and votes is counted at the end of the Enrollement Period and compared with all the valid Nominees. For any reason, without justification, 750 Grams International reserves the right to not choose the Nominee having received the most shares and votes. Any abuse of any sort of the voting system will disqualify the Nominee of selection by the company.
Among the Nominees with the most Popularity, the 750 grammes chefs will elect the Culinary Ambassador by it's originality of the published Motivation Contribution, the quality of the recipe shared and effort of the Nominee to be chosen.
Only one (1) Culinary Ambassador will be elected per participating country.
Expenses
The Culinary Ambassador will be invited to Paris with the following expenses covered by 750 Grams International
A/ Travel expenses:
Air ticket from the nearest city of residence with direct flights to Paris on June 13, 2014 and returning on June 15, 2014;
Public transport to and from the Airport and the hotel in the centre of Paris;
Transport tickets in Paris for the duration of the weekend;
B/ Meals:
Evening dinner on June 13, 2014;
Breakfast in the hotel of residence, lunch and evening dinner on June 14, 2014;
Breakfast in the hotel of residence and lunch on June 15, 2014;
C/ Accommodation:
Two nights accomation from 13/06/2014 to 06/15/2014 - check out at 11am, in a minimum 3 star hotel in Paris.
Any extra purchase by the Nominee during the weekend of the event will be at the personal expense of the Nominee.
Publication of the identity of the Culinary Ambassador
The participants who enter to become Nominees, and potentional Culinary Ambassador for the Event, accept that their name be published in the media that 750 Grams International considers appropriate.
Privacy policy
The personal data of the persons enrolled via the Entry Form will be treated in accordance with the provisions of Legislative Decree 196/2003 regarding the protection of personal data (the "Privacy Code").
Limitations of service provided by 750 Grams International
Once the times of departure and arrival to and from Paris, validated by the purchase of tickets , the company 750 Grams International as the organiser of the event will not be responsible for any problems that might prevent participation to the event.
