Hello Bella's Edible Adventures, so tell us...

When did you begin your blog and what inspired you to start it?

I began my blog a few months ago when I was off work due to anxiety and I found that cooking was very soothing. I wanted to find something to do to keep me busy and since I often posted photos of my latest cooking creations online for my friends to see, a blog seemed like a good idea.

In your wildest dreams, where is your blog going to take you as it develops?

Anywhere that there is food! I'm still so new to blogging that I'm surprised when I get any views or comments, so I just feel lucky to have people who like my blog.

Are you active in the blogging community? Have you met any interesting people through your blog or has it brought you to new places?

I must admit that as a bit of a newbie, I'm not particularly active in the blogging community. I have had some comments from people as far away as New Zealand though which is very exciting for me!

Do you have a secret weapon in the kitchen?

I think my secret weapon in the kitchen would have to be a really good, well sharpened knife - can't live without mine.

What would be your choice of dish or menu if you had to choose your "last meal ever"?!

I would probably go for a never ending conveyer belt of sushi, sashimi and dim sum, with the odd bowl of tonkostsu ramen soup thrown in. Actually, if I had this amazing feast it would almost definitely be my last meal ever - death by food!

What is your earliest memory involving food?

My earliest memory with food is sitting at the kitchen table watching my mum cook whilst dancing around the kitchen listening to music. I can't remember the exact song, but I have a feeling it was something by the jam or the undertones. My second memory is quite a contrast, but it's around the same time - I distinctly remember being sat at the dining table after everyone else had left with a plate of roast pork and the threat of having it for breakfast the next day if I didn't finish it. I'm still not keen on roast pork haha!

Are there any chefs that you admire in particular?

I quite like Heston Blumenthals attitude to food and playfulness. Most of all though, I admire any chefs that are passionate and creative.

If you could be a contestant or guest on any cooking show what show would you choose?

I would probably choose either saturday kitchen live so I could have a go at the omelette challenge and drink some nice wine, or I would choose ready steady cook. I know it's not on anymore, but it was fantastic! I used to love seeing the ingredients and trying to work out what the chefs could make out of them. I often do something similar when I am too lazy to go food shopping!

Which Gourmandize recipe would you recommend? (if none take your fancy add your own and share it with us!)

I like the look of Fried Bee Hoon from Whisk and Knife. I will be trying it soon!

Any last words or message for our readers?

Enjoy cooking, and keep it fun :)
