Hello Hannah, so tell us...

When did you begin your blog and what inspired you to start it?

I started it in early July 2013, so not even a month yet, and it was something I had been wanting to do for a long time. My interest in food started in summer 2008 when I was 18, and was mainly focused on baking at the time. I was on summer holiday from college and my mum didn't have to buy in bread for the whole summer because I baked it pretty much every other day. When I moved to university at 19, I found myself in a city surrounded by great food and inspiration. Sharing my recipes and food with friends fuelled my passion, and after 3 years that has led to my blog.

If you could go back in time, what is the one piece of advice you would give your younger self as they started out on your blog?

It was only 2 weeks ago! The advice I've had off others though is to keep a strong social media presence, and just create great content.

What is your favorite dish of all time?

Oh my goodness! Its possibly baked camembert with thyme and a little chilli oil, with delicious home-made bread for dipping. Simple, but absolutely divine.

Your photos are great, in your opinion what makes a dish beautiful?

Colour. A mix of bright colours is easy to photograph and make it look great. But subtle colours like browns and green also look great especially when combined with elements of wood and white material in the background

Do you have a secret weapon in the kitchen?

A mini chopper. So easy to create sauces, dips, marinades etc on a small scale for one dish.

What is your earliest memory involving food?

My mum being horrified that I could eat an ice-cream twice as fast as her when I was about 5!

Are there any chefs that you admire in particular?

Is Hugh Fernley-Wittenstall a chef? I'm generally about good wholesome home-cooking rather than professional chefs.

If you could be a contestant or guest on any cooking show what show would you choose?

Ready steady cook. No questions.

Thank you Hannah for answering our questions and see you soon!
