Witchetty Grub Soup

This soup recipe comes from central Australia where Witchetty or Witjuti Grubs - large white moth larva - are usually eaten alive and raw.

Ingredients
- 10 fresh witchetty grubs
- 2 tsp olive oil
- Handful of dried onions
- 1L Chicken stock
- Native peppercorns
- Salt
- 1/2 cup powdered milk
- A dash of flour

Preparation
Step 1
Saute grubs in oil.
Step 2
Add stock, crumbled chicken cubes, dried onions, peppercorns, and salt.
Step 3
Cook for 1/2 hour, then add thickened milk.
Step 4
Add a little water to flour to make a paste. Pour the paste into the soup to thicken it.
