Sausage and apple hotpot

Ingredients

  • 6 Sausages
  • 1 Onion
  • 3 or 4 med sized Apples
  • 600g Chopped tinned tomatoes
  • 1 Clove of garlic, pressed or thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp tomatoe puree/ ketchup
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp oil

Preparation

Step 1

Chop the sausages into bite size chunks
Heat a tblsp oil under a medium heat in a large pot, add the sausage and fry until browned.

Meanwhile; core, skin (if your preference) and thinly slice the apples, then dice the onion.

Step 2

Once the sausage is browned add the to the pot and fry for 5 minutes or until onion is softned.

Step 3

Add all other ingredients. Bring to the boil then simmer for 20 minutes, or until apples are soft.

Step 4

Serve as it is. Simple tasty and fresh.
