Hello Badgertails ~ Homemaker, so tell us...

When did you begin your blog and what inspired you to start it?

I began the blog a year ago but it wasn't until this Easter that it started to properly take off. I'd seen the odd blog here and there about various subjects, and decided it would be a wonderful hobby to write my own. There's so much inspiration out there, with so many people making wonderful creations every day.

In your wildest dreams, where is your blog going to take you as it develops?

It's always been a dream of mine to write my own cookbook, styling and shooting everything for it along the way. As my blog is about my home, garden and crafts too, it would be amazing to include those parts as well. It would be very country-cosy, of course!

Are you active in the blogging community? Have you met any interesting people through your blog or has it brought you to new places?

There are a few 'staple blogs' that I read daily, which can be wonderfully inspiring. It's amazing seeing what other people are up to as well, each blog is so unique and inspirational. I can get completely lost in a blog sometimes, then realise an hour's gone by...

Do you have a secret weapon in the kitchen?

My Kenwood Hand-Held Electric Whisk. Since buying it in summer I've barely put it down! I use it for brownies, cakes, frosting, mashed potato... I'm sure there will be many more to add to the list too!

What would be your choice of dish or menu if you had to choose your "last meal ever"?!

Definitely something involving peas! Call me crazy, but they've always been my absolute favourite food! A warm bowl of them with a dab of butter and fresh ground pepper would do just perfectly.

What is your earliest memory involving food?

Absolutely no idea! But my wonderful Mum is the best cook ever. I'm sure everyone says that, but I really mean it. She's the one that taught me how to cook and bake from a young age. Every dinner time I'd come and be the 'stirrer' at the hob which is how I've learnt so much.

Are there any chefs that you admire in particular?

The incredibly talented Delia Smith. She's my food-god, (apart from Mum!) and I always reach for her book for hearty, country meal inspiration.

If you could be a contestant or guest on any cooking show what show would you choose?

I'd have to go with Saturday Kitchen from the BBC. They've got such a fab dynamic there that I'd love to be part of!

Which Gourmandize recipe would you recommend? (if none take your fancy add your own and share it with us!)

Probably my Chocolate & Orange Blossom Cupcakes. This recipe makes the perfect moist chocolate cake and the frosting is to die-for! They're a sure pleaser and make fab gifts.

Any last words or message for our readers?

Thanks so much for taking the time to read about little old me! Please feel free to come over and visit me at my online-home, http://www.badgertails.com/ for recipes and much more! And thank you to the lovely Gourmandize for having me too! b_t x
